Health and safety e-learning, with every hour on record

Risk-prevention training isn't optional in Spain: the employer must guarantee it and after an inspection or an accident it has to be able to prove it.

GestCampus records who studied, for how long and with what result and keeps it ready to show whoever asks.

What the law requires

Prevention training comes with hours and someone accountable

  • Law 31/1995, art. 19 — Worker training. The employer must ensure that every worker receives sufficient and appropriate theoretical and practical training in risk prevention.
  • RD 39/1997, art. 35 — Basic level. It sets a minimum of 50 hours for companies carrying out activities listed in Annex I and 30 hours otherwise. It regulates duration, not the delivery mode.
  • Sector agreements. Some sectors add their own trade-specific training and delivery rules. Check yours: where it requires in-person practice, that part happens in the classroom and GestCampus records the theory.

Typical courses

What health and safety centres usually deliver

Basic level in risk prevention

30 or 50 hours depending on the company's activity, with the syllabus in Annex IV of the Prevention Services Regulation.

Job-specific training

The specific risks of the post, on hiring or when duties change.

Refresher and update courses

When new technologies or changes to work equipment are introduced.

How GestCampus covers it

Every training hour, with its proof

Real hours, not clock hours

GestCampus measures reading time only while the course tab is in view and won't let the learner move on until each unit's minimum is met.

If the course is 50 hours, the report shows the hours the worker actually studied.

Who took the course

Every login is recorded with date, time, IP and device, with no biometrics. You know the worker who signs is the one who studied.

Assessment that doesn't get passed around

Each attempt draws different questions from a course bank. One worker's pass is no use to the next.

Evidence for the inspectorate

An individual report in PDF or CSV with an integrity hash and a read-only inspector role that expires.

Whatever the Labour Inspectorate asks for, in a couple of clicks.

Frequently asked questions

Can the basic level be delivered as e-learning?

Article 35 of RD 39/1997 sets the minimum duration, 50 or 30 hours, but not the delivery mode. Many centres deliver it online.

If your sector agreement requires an in-person practical part, that part happens in the classroom and GestCampus accredits the theory.

How do I prove the worker did the hours?

With the session log and active time per unit. The individual report lists every login, the accumulated hours and the test result and is exported whenever it's requested.

Can I give a consultant or the inspectorate access without them changing anything?

Yes. The inspector role is read-only and has an expiry date: it sees each learner's traceability and can change nothing.

The next inspection won't give notice. Your evidence will.
