GDPR without biometrics

GDPR-compliant e-learning control, without biometrics

All the traceability the law asks for (identification, study times, connections, assessment and individual reports), with documentation retained for four years, a clean legal basis under art. 6 GDPR, transparent information and data minimisation.

No biometrics, no intrusive proctoring, no nasty surprises.

Data protection

You get fined for failing to prove the training and for over-monitoring

  • GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and Spanish LOPDGDD 3/2018. A legal basis under art. 6, transparent information, data minimisation and impact assessments where required. You monitor what's necessary, in the least intrusive way. Not one byte more.
€12,000 + €650,000

The double fine that says it all: in 2026 the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) fined a Madrid school €12,000 for digitising the classroom without a legal basis or impact assessment and a university €650,000 for imposing mandatory facial recognition in exams.

You get fined for being unable to prove the training and you get fined for over-monitoring. GestCampus lives exactly in the middle ground the law rewards: all the evidence, zero excess.

Why GestCampus

Proportionate control, on a clean legal basis

Instead of intrusive, fineable biometrics: identification by login, IP, device and study times, grounded in art. 6 GDPR with transparent information.

The control the law allows, without the excess the law fines.

Frequently asked questions

Isn't this over-monitoring the learner? Aren't I risking a fine like the VIU's?

Quite the opposite. VIU was fined for imposing biometrics (mandatory facial recognition) without a legal basis or freely given consent.

GestCampus does NOT use biometrics: it identifies by login and records IP, browser, device and study times — a proportionate processing operation grounded in art. 6 GDPR, with transparent information for the learner. It's the control the law allows, without the excess the law punishes.
